To kick off of 47th season, GTG is excited to present It's Your Mother, the original work of Geneva-local Elizabeth Tuxill and co-playwright Patricia Durante. This one-act comedy explores the many variations on the universal mother-child relationship. Through a series of scenes and monologues, It’s Your Mother depicts the different stages of ‘life with mom’; coming home from college, planning a wedding, dealing with an aging parent, sibling rivalry, family grudges, etc. Humorous and honest, touching and heartfelt, It’s Your Mother will have audiences laughing and crying as they recognize themselves and their own mothers (or mother-like caregivers)!

Performances will run October 25-27, 2024. Friday and Saturday, performances will begin at 7 PM, and on Sunday at 2pm in the First United Methodist Church of Geneva* at the basement level. The building is ADA Accessible for patrons who may need an elevator to get to the basement.

Auditions for It's Your Mother will be held on the Monday and Tuesday evenings of September 16th & 17th at 6:30pm in the basement of the First United Methodist Church of Geneva* (340 S Main St - parking located behind the church, off of William St). The building is ADA accessible with an elevator to the basement level. Below is a break-down of the roles we are looking to fill:

Number of Female roles: as few as 5 or as many as 18.

Age Range: 16-90

No prepared monologues or prior acting experience required!​
