Community Theatre Works Best When You Get Involved
Why not think about joining your local community theatre, Geneva Theatre Guild. Community theatre is not only an education in all aspects of theatrical production, but also a fun way to meet like-minded members of your community.
Where would we be without our audience? On a very lonely stage, that’s where. You and your fellow audience members breathe life into a production and are an essential part of a vital performance. The fastest way for you to show your support is to buy a ticket and bring a friend along! Click on the ticket above to be redirected to our ticketing website!
Make a Donation
We actively seek out grants and sponsors, but donations from our members are of vital importance. Membership levels are as follows: Angel ($100 and up), Producer ($50 and up), Director ($25 and up), and Stage Hand ($15 and up). Sponsorship pricing can be found on the Advertising Page!
Volunteers are encouraged to participate in every area of production, including carpentry, scenic painting, lights, sound, props, costumes, makeup/hair, stage management, run crew, and orchestra. If you’re interested in front-of-house activities, we can always use ticket takers and ushers, and we can also use help writing grants, handling publicity, selling ads, and so on. If you’re an expert, great! If you’re not, don’t worry; we’ll teach you what you need to know. An extra hand is always welcome.
Advertise in the Program
Looking for a high-quality medium for your company’s advertising? Look no further and advertise in our Season Program, as seen by over 2500 patrons and business owners in the Finger Lakes. Have your company affiliated with one of the region’s most prestigious theatre and award-winning companies! Ads are reasonably priced. Deadline for the Season Program is October 1. See the Advertise and Forms section for more information.
Serve on Board or a Committee
Volunteers are also needed to serve on the board of directors. The Geneva Theatre Guild Board of Directors meets monthly to plan and produce our season’s offerings, theatre trips and other activities. The Guild is always interested in hearing from individuals who would like to share their time and expertise by joining the Geneva Theatre Guild Board of Directors or by serving on a committee.
Propose a Show
Directors are encouraged to submit proposals for shows they would like to direct. Our Season Planning committee meets in September to determine the next year’s schedule. Click here for more details on the season planning process.
